Burnley have signed Celtic’s Reo Hatate for an undisclosed fee from the Scottish Premiership champions.<\/p>\n

Hatate has agreed a three-year contract at Turf Moor after spending four-and-a-half years in Glasgow.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old played 191 games and scored 33 goals in his time at Celtic, winning five league titles, two Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups.<\/p>\n

But his only appearances this season for the Hoops came as a substitute in both legs of their Champions League play-off ties with Austrian champions LASK Linz.<\/p>\n

Now Hatate, who has 11 caps for Japan, heads to the Championship to link up with Nicky Hayen’s squad.<\/p>\n

“This is a great move for me. It’s my first time playing in England and it’s a fantastic club to be joining,” he told the club’s website, external<\/a>.<\/p>\n
