This achieves a texture she describes as \u201cchewy and rich\u201d, while still feeling like a drawing rather than painting \u2013 \u201ca skill I am very bad at\u201d, she says. \u201cSomething I always tell my students is \u2018if it\u2019s fun for you to make it will almost always be fun to look at\u2019. Sometimes I can catch myself getting too controlled and obsessed over wanting the end product to look \u2018good\u2019, which is when the images I\u2019m making come out poorly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"e9dem\">Peony plans to expand this series into larger pieces, in different locations, and by adding even more layers of texture to achieve the aforementioned \u2018chewyness\u2019.
