The Welsh actor and comedian’s debut children’s book – The Cat in The Cupboard – will be published on 10 September. <\/p>\n
Aimed at children aged between five and seven, the tale was inspired by the stories he invented for his children about their own ginger cat.<\/p>\n
Brydon said he had long made up stories and songs “for my own enjoyment” and was excited to share this with others.<\/p>\n
The story, which is told entirely in rhyme, follows Crumble the cat on his daring garden adventures.<\/p>\n
He explained the idea came when they had to move their cat flap and “it went to the corner of the house… which meant that he came into the house via a cupboard”. <\/p>\n
