{"id":760274,"date":"2026-09-05T00:30:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T00:30:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/760274\/"},"modified":"2026-09-05T00:30:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-05T00:30:13","slug":"james-bond-casting-timeline-clears-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/760274\/","title":{"rendered":"James Bond Casting Timeline Clears Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/gold-new-james-bond-must-ooze-sex-appeal.jpg\" data-caption=\"MGM, EON, Sony\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/gold-new-james-bond-must-ooze-sex-appeal.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"gold-new-james-bond-must-ooze-sex-appeal\"\/><\/a>MGM, EON, Sony<\/p>\n<p>A new report indicates that Amazon MGM Studios\u2019 casting process for the next James Bond is entering a new phase.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/puck.news\/the-scooter-ification-of-sydney-sweeney\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Puck News<\/a>, the company is sending out test deals to actors in the running for the role \u2013 far stronger indicators than online casting speculation.<\/p>\n<p>An acting test deal is essentially a binding contract signed immediately before a final screen test which pre-negotiates an actor\u2019s salary, length of commitment, and exclusivity terms for a role.<\/p>\n<p>Such a deal indicates that formal screen tests with director Denis Villeneuve are getting much, much closer.
