She worked with Diane Buzzetta on beauty, opting for \u201cnatural glam\u201d using Chanel Beauty throughout the weekend, Ericka Verrett on hair, and Zola Ganzorigt on nails. Finneas, meanwhile, wore custom Prada. \u201cHe has always loved Prada\u2019s suits, and was thrilled they were willing to dress him,\u201d Claudia adds. The final detail? The couple\u2019s dogs, Peaches and Mousse, were outfitted in Oscar de la Renta dog bows made of the same silk faille as Claudia\u2019s ceremony gown.<\/p>\n
On the morning of August 29, Claudia began her \u201cvery sleepy and zen\u201d getting-ready process. \u201cDue to my excitement, I only managed to get four hours of sleep before the big day,\u201d she says, noting her glam team encouraged her to carve out 30 minutes for a nap. \u201cI played peaceful spa music and FaceTimed with friends to hear how the rest of their night went after the rehearsal dinner.\u201d While the couple chose not to have any bridesmaids or groomsmen to keep the experience intimate\u2014and encouraged their guests to wear any color\u2014Claudia did invite her \u201cunofficial bridesmaids\u201d to check in before the ceremony. (The only key player in the ceremony was Finneas\u2019s sister, Billie Eilish, who wore a custom House of Gilles gown to serve as officiant.) \u201cBillie, Rebecca, Tyra, Dru, Lexie, and Lucy\u2014along with my mom, Beata, and Finneas\u2019 mom, Maggie\u2014all stopped by! We cried and laughed, and I recounted my night of tossing and turning while standing on the fireplace step. Finneas and I had our first look in my bridal suite, a moment I\u2019ll never forget. After a few portraits together and with our families, it was time to get married!\u201d<\/p>\n
The ceremony began with nine string musicians and a pianist playing, in what Claudia describes as her favorite part of the day\u2014as she got into position behind the hedges, they played a cover of \u201cAngel\u201d by Finneas, a personal request of the bride\u2019s. As she walked down the aisle, \u201ceverything slowed down, and we were filled with emotion and euphoria,\u201d she says. After she reached the altar, Billie asked the couple to face their guests and take them in. \u201cWe shared our vows and promises with everyone,\u201d Claudia says. \u201cThe musicians softly started back up underneath our repeat-after-me\u2019s, and we finished off the ceremony with our dogs, Peaches and Mousse, in hand.\u201d Both describe it as one of the happiest moments of their lives. \u201cA new feeling unlocked for the both of us,\u201d Finneas says. \u201cWe will never forget it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Afterwards, the couple joined their guests for cocktail hour, \u201cto say hello, hug, and cry together,\u201d Claudia laughs. Then, they snuck into the dinner tent to check out the setup. \u201cWe wanted our dinner to feel like we were hosting it in the backyard of our home. That intention influenced our wooden tables\u2014sans tablecloths\u2014our pots of lavender, wood-handled flatware, and curation of candlesticks and cups. It just felt so homey and so us.
