Englishman Paul Casey took advantage of favorable scoring conditions during the third round at Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club, posting a 7-under 63 to take a three-shot lead over the Omega European Masters field <\/a>into Sunday\u2019s final round.<\/p>\n

The 49-year-old Casey, who started the day four back of Thriston Lawrence\u2019s lead, birdied six of seven holes on his front nine to card a 29. He finished the round with another circle on the 18th hole thanks to a spectacular approach shot<\/a> to get to 16 under on the tournament.<\/p>\n

Casey told reporters Saturday that \u201cwinning would mean an awful lot\u201d as he\u2019s relocated and now lives in Switzerland<\/a>, where the tournament is taking place. He revealed plans to donate all of his winnings from the tournament to wildfire victims who were displaced this summer from the Crans Montana region. <\/p>\n

\u201cTomorrow, whatever happens, I hope I win and I\u2019ll be playing really hard, but I\u2019ll make sure that all my prize money as well is going to the charity and the victims of the fire here in Crans Montana, so I\u2019ve got a lot to play for tomorrow,\u201d said Casey of the tournament\u2019s $3.75-million purse, of which $637,500 the champ collects.<\/p>\n

The 15-time DP World Tour winner who has been a LIV Golf member since 2022, wasn\u2019t the only player to go low on Saturday \u2014 three others got into the clubhouse with 63s. Maximilian Steinlechner and Erik Van Rooyen both shot 7 under in the third round to move into a four-way tie four second along with Eugenio Chacarra and Nacho Elvira at 13 under. <\/p>\n

Bernd Wiesberger, who bogeyed the opening hole, also shot 63 on Saturday. He birdied three of the last fours on the front nine to help mitigate the damage from earlier in the round before going on to eagle the par-5 14th. His bogey-free 30 on the back nine helped vault him up the leaderboard, albeit six back of Casey at 10 under. <\/p>\n

Though he started the day 10 shots off the lead, Wiesberger finished Saturday sitting T-10 with the 36-hole leader Lawrence. <\/p>\n

The 29-year-old South African, who won the tournament in 2025 and put together a bogey-free 63 just a day prior,<\/a> carded a 3-over 73 on Saturday to drop down the leaderboard. <\/p>\n

In addition to Wiesberger, Lawrence is tied with 12 other players at 10 under after 54 holes. Those also sitting T-10 include a pair of Masters winners in Patrick Reed and Danny Willet. Harry Hall, Matt Wallace and David Puig \u2014 all of whom sit inside the top 80 in the world golf ranking \u2014 also are T-10 at 10 under in the Swiss Alps.<\/p>\n

A little ways down the leaderboard is American Ryan Gerard, fresh off a solo third at the Tour Championship in Atlanta last week<\/a>, sitting T-28 at 8 under the tournament. <\/p>\n

Gerard was left off the U.S. Presidents Cup team earlier this week<\/a>, along with fellow Tar Hell alum and close friend Ben Griffin.<\/p>\n

Jackson Koivun got the proverbial last spot on the U.S. roster for Medinah<\/a>, with captain Brandt Snedeker using one of his six selections on the 21-year-old PGA Tour rookie.<\/p>\n

Final round live from Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club<\/a> will be available on CNBC and Golf Chanel mobile <\/a>beginning at 6 a.m. ET Sunday.<\/p>\n
