\n\tLinda Cardellini<\/a> joined her onscreen husband David Harbour<\/a> from DTF St. Louis<\/a> in winning her first Emmy Award<\/a> for her role in the HBO dark comedy series. She took the trophy Sunday night in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m overcome, I\u2019m sorry it\u2019s a little embarrassing, but this has just been an unbelievable journey,\u201d Cardellini said on stage. \u201cThank you to everybody along this way, all these years, who helped me get to this moment. A real dream come true, and I appreciate it very much.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis is Cardellini\u2019s third nomination and first win. She was previously nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category for Netflix\u2019s Dead to Me and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for AMC\u2019s Mad Men.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOne of my friends once told me it\u2019s a long life in this business if they\u2019re lucky, and I feel very lucky to be here right now holding this Emmy,\u201d she said backstage. <\/p>\n

\n\tCardellini also described how she felt walking onstage when her name was called as the winner. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy heart was beating so fast and I just wanted to be able to feel it and look out and see people and to be able to look out and see so many of my castmates nominated,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

\n\tHarbour was one of three DTF St. Louis nominees for Supporting Actor In a Limited or Anthology Series of Movie along with Jason Bateman and Richard Jenkins; Cardellini was nominated on the distaff side alongside DTF\u2018s Joy Sunday.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a departure from past years, the supporting acting awards<\/a> in the limited series category were handed out during Emmys<\/a> Night 2 (which was formerly referred to as the Creative Arts Emmys), ahead of the primetime ceremony and telecast September 14. Cardellini\u2019s speech was not televised.<\/p>\n

\n\tDTF St. Louis\u00a0follows a love triangle between three adults (Harbour, Cardellini, Bateman) experiencing middle-age malaise\u00a0that leads to one of them ending up dead.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe dark comedy has 13 nominations at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards<\/a>; it was a big winner Sunday with six Emmys, including writing and directing.<\/p>\n
