Zwift has announced a range of updates to its software and hardware platforms, coming this autumn, while Rouvy, now owned by Zwift, has its own schedule of updates, including closer integration with Zwift.<\/p>\n

An update to the Zwift app<\/a> will offer one-click selection of your next activity, as well as making it easier to see what\u2019s planned for the coming week. There\u2019s a new progress widget, which allows you to see how you\u2019re advancing towards your weekly goals, as well as overall progression stats.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s an update to the companion app scheduled for October, which Zwift says will make it easier to use, simplifying the weekly activity presentation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In late October, Watopia gets 18km of new roads that Zwift says are inspired by the California coast and Catalina Island. There are two circuits designed specifically for crit racing. The new routes will feature in Stage 4 of the Tour of Watopia, which starts on 4th October.<\/p>\n

Another new feature is called Watt Lock and allows you to toggle ERG mode<\/a> and lock in a target power during freerides, helping you stay in your training zone. It\u2019s compatible with Zwift controller hardware, so target power can be adjusted as you ride.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Zwift has also partnered with Whoop to provide greater insight into users\u2019 training, sleep <\/a>and recovery score, with Zwift adjusting targets based on Whoop data. In a second phase, Zwift activity will be made available in the Whoop app.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a complete Zwift racing schedule announced and, finally, there are new things to buy in the Drop Shop, from triathlon bikes and wheels to a Pinarello paint scheme and Black Inc wheels, with new halo bikes from Cerv\u00e9lo and Canyon to be added to the current three.<\/p>\n

New Zwift Ride V2<\/p>\n

Zwift has also made updates to Zwift Ride<\/a>, with adjustable crank lengths<\/a> that can be set at 165mm, 170mm, 172.5mm and 175mm, as the the shorter lengths continue to increase in popularity with road and gravel riders.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

There\u2019s more fore\/aft adjustability to the seatpost too, supporting another modern trend \u2013 a more forward position<\/a>, while Zwift says that the bars are more comfortable.<\/p>\n

The new V2 Zwift Ride is also claimed to extend the height range of riders it will fit to those between 146cm and 198cm (4ft 10in to 6ft 6in) thanks to a more compact frame.<\/p>\n

The price of Zwift Ride remains unchanged at \u00a31,099.99 \/ $1,299.99 \/ \u20ac1,199.99 and Zwift will also sell the new cranks and seatpost as updates to the current V1 frame.<\/p>\n

Plus changes to Rouvy<\/p>\n

Although Rouvy was bought by Zwift<\/a> in April, they continue to operate as separate businesses, with their own update priorities and schedules.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t mean there\u2019s no cross-collaboration though, with Rouvy <\/a>now offering compatibility with Zwift hardware, including a Rouvy-branded Zwift Ride smart frame and app compatibility with Zwift Click and Cog virtual shifting, so that Zwift equipment users can choose to use Rouvy for a less gamified experience, should they wish.<\/p>\n

Rouvy and Zwift will continue to operate separate subscriptions too, but it will now be possible to share points earned in either direction between the two platforms, with distance ridden on Rouvy counting to Zwift XP points at five XP points per kilometre.<\/p>\n

Rouvy\u2019s update plans are focused on its real world video and it is planning to enhance video quality, initially on selected routes, to add extra realism. It\u2019s also expanding its route library to more exotic locations, including desert roads in Morocco, remote roads in Patagonia and the world’s highest paved roads in India.<\/p>\n

At the same time, it\u2019s adding support for structured workouts from TrainerRoad<\/a>, which announced a partnership with Zwift in early 2025. It\u2019s also added clubs, which allow 30 riders to work together to achieve a specific set of objectives and there is enhanced in-app chat functionality.
