In an exclusive interview with Far Out, Steven Knight<\/a> has revealed the thing he found most surprising about working with Noel and Liam Gallagher on the Oasis: Don\u2019t Look Back in Anger documentary.<\/p>\n

The coveted writer swapped his Peaky Blinders<\/a> cap for a bucket hat with his latest project, as he was tasked with writing the new documentary charting the Britpop band\u2019s triumphant return.<\/p>\n

In a new interview with Far Out, Knight reflected on his experience working closely with the famous Britpop brothers, whom he interviewed as part of the process.<\/p>\n

\u201cVery early on, somebody said, \u2018If you have a meeting with them, they will be early,’\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n

As evidenced by their keenness, he continued, \u201cAnd they work really hard. You know, there\u2019s all this stuff about rock and roll and all of that, but they work really hard and they will work until it\u2019s right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking to the huge success of both the documentary and the reunion tour, Knight added, \u201cThey were burning with desire to get this right, and they did<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, Knight explained that he always intended for the immersive documentary to be \u201cemotional\u201d, as \u201cthis is about two people who were famously arranged do come back together in a time when the world is fractured.\u201d<\/p>\n

As such, Knight added that he \u201creally wanted it to be a hopeful 1960s-style peace, love, and understanding message. And that\u2019s what it turned out to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a separate interview with Far Out, directors Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern<\/a> explained how the Gallagher brothers\u2019 first joint interview in 20 years came about, adding that fans are likely to be \u201cbuzz off seeing them sitting down together and seeing how at ease with each other they are.\u201d<\/p>\n
