While remaining focused on his rematch with Fabio Wardley, Daniel Dubois<\/a> has equally named another heavyweight that he could soon face for a second time.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old became a two-time world champion in May, dethroning Wardley for the WBO title after climbing off the canvas on two occasions.<\/p>\n

Indeed, it was far from straightforward, as Dubois was compelled to overcome two early knockdowns before eventually securing an 11th-round finish<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The first came within 10 seconds of the contest while the second \u2013 with Dubois down again from a right hand in round three \u2013 almost seemed as if it woke the \u2018Dynamite\u2019 puncher up.<\/p>\n

It was, after all, a dominant display from that point onwards, with Dubois showcasing a superior jab and technical qualities to emerge victorious.<\/p>\n

Wardley, however, did not take long to activate the rematch clause in their contract, which has secured him an attempt at reclaiming the WBO belt on October 17.<\/p>\n

Dubois, meanwhile, is expecting to retain his title before entering a unification match, possibly with Filip Hrgovic, who claimed the IBF heavyweight strap with his ninth-round stoppage of Moses Itauma<\/a> last Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Londoner has therefore expressed his interest in a rematch with Hrgovic, telling Frank Warren\u2019s Queensberry Promotions<\/a> that his ambition is to be the last man standing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what the future is now, isn\u2019t it? That\u2019s the belts and who\u2019s going to be the last man standing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI might potentially fight him [Hrgovic] again, so it\u2019s good to look at him firsthand [against Itauma] and see how that fight played out.\u201d<\/p>\n
