The business began after Lion I, whose real name is Pablo, started sharing his cooking on Snapchat.

Followers regularly asked if they could try his food, and one Christmas he decided to cook extra portions and offer £10 food boxes.

“People came and bought them—and that’s where The Food Plug began,” he said.

What started as a small food-box venture has since grown into a fully branded food truck and catering business.

Lion I has also catered at video shoots involving artists including Stormzy, Craig David, N-Dubz and Jess Glynne.

“Success for me is seeing something that started with a few £10 food boxes grow into a fully branded food truck and catering business,” he said.

“Every booking and returning customer reminds me how far The Food Plug has come.”

Now, the rapper is concentrating on taking the business to the next level before returning to music.

“Putting music on hold was a difficult decision because it has always been a major part of who I am,” he said.

“However, I knew The Food Plug needs my full attention to reach its potential.”

His ambitions extend beyond the food truck.

Lion I is planning to make The Food Plug a recognised brand across Suffolk and beyond, with bottled Plug Potion drinks set to reach shop shelves, followed by a range of sauces he is currently developing.

“I also want to expand the catering side and attend more major events and festivals,” he said.

Although music is currently on hold, Lion I insists he has not given up on it.

“I’m trying to build the food plug properly before returning to music,” he said.

The business began after Lion I, whose real name is Pablo, started sharing his cooking on Snapchat.
