Huddersfield Giants and Castleford Tigers have named their squads for their final games of the 2026 Super League season, with the hosts dealt a number of injury blows.

The Giants will be playing their final game at the Accu Stadium with the club set to move out of Huddersfield and groundshare with Dewsbury Rams for 2027.

Despite losing last week, they’re the form team in this one as they had previously gone on a winning run that lifted them off the foot of the table and providing Bradford do not win tonight, the Giants cannot finish last.

Even if the Bulls do win, victory over an out-of-form Castleford would see them avoid the wooden spoon and give them a solid base from which to work from for 2027.

The same cannot be said of Castleford, who remain without a head coach and have been bang out of form, losing last week to Bradford in a very poor performance.

Both Jim Lenihan and Luke Robinson have now named their 21-man squads with changes made by each man.

Huddersfield Giants team news

The Giants see Sam Halsall drop out after last week’s loss to Hull KR, with the winger sustaining injuries. Halsall suffered a suspected broken leg as a result of a tackle that left Jim Lenihan fuming, but ultimately went unpunished at disciplinary.

Mathieu Cozza also drops out after a HIA that was a result of another challenge that Lenihan called out, however, there is only one man called up with the Giants naming a 20-man squad.

It means that the only change made by the Giants sees Sam Hewitt return from a HIA with both Cozza and Halsall dropping out.

Huddersfield Giants 20-man squad: Niall Evalds, Jacob Gagai, Taane Milne, Tui Lolohea, Adam Clune, Tristan Powell, Zac Woolford, Sam Hewitt, Harry Rushton, Fenton Rogers, George King, Joe Greenwood, Kieran Rush, Jack Billington, Logan Blacker, Tanguy Zenon, Lewis Jagger, Oli Leyland, Matty Hanley, Stan Hobson

There’s a return for Daniel Sarbah, who was previously suspended, whilst Sam Grice is also named ahead of what could be his first team debut.

Cain Robb is the other man to be called up but there is no Joe Westerman, confirming that he won’t get a last dance ahead of his retirement.

Castleford Tigers 21-man squad: Daejarn Asi, Tom Weaver, Liam Hood, George Lawler, Jordan Lane, Alex Mellor, Joe Stimson, Brock Greacen, Louis Senior, Krystian Mapapalangi, Sam Hall, Cain Robb, Alfie Lindsay, George Hirst, Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e, Tyler Dupree, Jack Brown, Daniel Sarbah, Lazarus Vaalepu, Ben McNamara, Sam Grice
