Coronation Street’s Glenda Shuttleworth is set to find herself in trouble next week, as a new storyline for the Driscoll family begins.<\/p>\n
In scene set to air air over the next few days, Ben shows other half Eva Price and mum Maggie a video of young Susie singing and dancing that’s been posted to the Rovers’ social media pages.<\/p>\n

Related: Best streaming services UK 2026 \u2013 including Disney+, Netflix, iPlayer and Apple TV<\/a><\/p>\n Ben, still wounded after the whole ordeal with Will and Megan Walsh, reckons the video needs to be taken down for security reasons.<\/p>\n However, Glenda sees the video and thinks that Susie has got a real talent, and suggests that she signs up for Little Big Shotz, the stage school she runs in the community centre.<\/p>\n Sadly, Ben’s concerns cause him to lash out, and he believes that Glenda should be punished for trying to push Susie into the spotlight.<\/p>\n Could Glenda’s job as barmaid at the Rovers be at risk?<\/p>\n “Glenda is blown away by the video of Susie singing her heart out”, says our insider. “She recognises her serious talent and is keen to snap her up for Little Big Shotz.<\/p>\n ITV<\/p>\n Related: Coronation Street shares new Audrey Roberts update after 10 months off screen<\/a> “But unfortunately, Glenda’s enthusiasm about Susie doesn’t go down too well with concerned dad Ben. Could this tense situation affect Glenda\u2019s future at the Rovers?”<\/p>\n We don’t know what will happen with Glenda’s job, but we know that she will be on the cobbles until early 2027 at least.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, actor Jodie Prenger confirmed<\/a> that she had signed another year-long contract on the soap, having been there since 2022. <\/p>\n “I’ve just signed a new contract, so I’m going to be on Corrie for another year. I always get nervous about whether or not they’ll want me to stay, so I was thrilled when I got the offer”, she said at the time.<\/p>\n “I knew straight away I was going to sign.
