{"id":766884,"date":"2026-09-11T04:30:24","date_gmt":"2026-09-11T04:30:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/766884\/"},"modified":"2026-09-11T04:30:24","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T04:30:24","slug":"jd-gyms-says-harlequin-watford-branch-will-be-biggest-ever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/766884\/","title":{"rendered":"JD Gyms says Harlequin Watford branch will be &#8216;biggest ever&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The gym giant revealed new details today (September 8) of its 31,000-square-foot home in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.watfordobserver.co.uk\/topics\/harlequin\/?ref=au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Harlequin<\/a>, roughly the size of the TK Maxx unit.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It will be taking over part of the former John Lewis unit, which has already been divided up, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.watfordobserver.co.uk\/leisure\/24811849.flip-smash-hit-officially-opens-atria-watford\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Flip Out<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.watfordobserver.co.uk\/leisure\/23969814.hundreds-flock-dunelm-opening-atria-watford\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dunelm<\/a> among the occupants.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Image of a JD Gyms location (not the Watford branch)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.watfordobserver.co.uk\/news\/26222464.business-signs-open-inside-harlequin-watford-unit-size-tk-maxx\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">JD Gyms<\/a> says on social media that the gym will open this winter, although it has not given an exact date. The Harlequin and JD Gyms have been contacted for more information.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The gym will be open 24\/7 and have free parking, as well as more than 250 premium fitness machines, extensive fitness classes, specialist strength and functional training zones, and luxury amenities.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Image of a JD Gyms location (not the Watford branch)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  JD Gyms chief operating officer Lee Matthews said: &#8220;Watford is a hugely important opening for JD Gyms, and we&#8217;re incredibly excited to bring our biggest-ever gym to the town.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cAt 31,000 square feet, this will not only be the largest JD Gyms we&#8217;ve built, but also the largest gym in Watford. We genuinely believe the local community will be blown away by what we&#8217;re creating.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cFrom the sheer volume of premium equipment and specialist training zones to the quality of the d\u00e9cor, finish and overall experience, this will be unlike anything else in the area.
