Ben Doak<\/a> has completed his transfer to Bournemouth<\/a> after Liverpool agreed a deal for the 19-year-old worth \u00a325 million.<\/p>\n

The teenager, who will now be known as Ben Gannon Doak after adopting the surname of both parents, departs after three years on the books of the Reds.<\/p>\n

This Is Anfield understands the deal is worth in the region of \u00a325 million and he becomes the Cherries\u2019 fourth signing of the summer.<\/p>\n

The agreement includes a buy-back option, with this an essential condition for Liverpool agreeing to the transfer.<\/p>\n

After Crystal Palace<\/a> and Ipswich<\/a> made official approaches in January, Porto made a bid this summer and further interest came from other Premier League<\/a> clubs, including Nottingham Forest<\/a> and Leeds<\/a> United.<\/p>\n

The move offers Doak a chance in the top tier of English football after impressing last season on loan in the Championship with Middlesbrough<\/a> before injury curtailed his campaign.<\/p>\n

The sale of Doak represents pure profit on Liverpool\u2019s books as he joined as a youth player from Celtic in 2022, whom they paid \u00a3600,000 for in compensation.<\/p>\n

Doak is the latest example of the club\u2019s savvy business recouping fees for academy graduates following on from the sales of Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a>, Caoimhin Kelleher<\/a>, Jarell Quansah<\/a>, Tyler Morton<\/a> and Nat Phillips<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n

He is now the 15th-most expensive sale in the club\u2019s history and becomes the eighth player sold this summer, which has seen at least \u00a3206m recouped<\/a>, potentially rising to \u00a3227m including add-ons.<\/p>\n

With another sale for an attacker sanctioned, Liverpool are expected to invest in their forward line ahead of the September 1 deadline, with Alexander Isak still the top target.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Doak made 10 senior appearances for Liverpool, but showed his full potential while working under Michael Carrick at Middlesbrough<\/a> before injury struck at the start of this year.<\/p>\n

The Scotland international was part of Arne Slot<\/a>\u2018s pre-season squad and played 220 minutes across four matches, but his place in the pecking order was clear, and a move was key to playing regular minutes.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old is an impressive talent to emerge from the academy but his pathway at Anfield has been blocked by the longevity of Mohamed Salah<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He has signed a long-term contract with the Cherries, who finished ninth last season and went on to sanction exits for several key players, including Liverpool\u2019s new left-back Milos Kerkez<\/a>.<\/p>\n
