{"id":768428,"date":"2026-09-12T14:56:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T14:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/768428\/"},"modified":"2026-09-12T14:56:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T14:56:10","slug":"arrests-after-car-being-driven-wrong-way-down-m1-crashes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/768428\/","title":{"rendered":"Arrests after car being driven wrong way down M1 crashes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A man has been seriously injured after a car being driven the wrong way hit his vehicle on the M1 near Wakefield. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">West Yorkshire Police said a blue Kia Proceed had failed to stop for police and was being driven the wrong way up the northbound carriageway, where it struck a red Dacia Sandero shortly after 23:00 BST on Friday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The driver of the Dacia, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Three people &#8211; an 18-year-old man, a 15-year-old girl and a 30-year-old woman &#8211; have been arrested for causing injury by dangerous driving.
