Nelly Korda ended up on the losing side for the first time at this year\u2019s Solheim Cup on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

Korda and her partner Allisen Corpuz lost 3&2 to Maja Stark and Linn Grant in the first match out on Saturday in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n

Team Europe leads 7-5 after the first three sessions, with the Saturday afternoon four-balls and the Sunday singles still to play.<\/p>\n

Nelly Korda<\/a> and Allisen Corpuz took 1.5 points from their first two Solheim Cup<\/a> matches on Friday.<\/p>\n

However, things didn\u2019t quite go to plan in the Netherlands on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

Nelly Korda explains Solheim Cup foursomes defeat<\/p>\n

Korda addressed the media after her 3&2 defeat to the Europeans on Saturday morning at Bernardus Golf.<\/p>\n

She responded when asked to provide a reason as to why she and her teammate Corpuz were beaten so convincingly.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey just played really well,\u201c Korda said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they were, like, 6- or 5-under through eight holes. So it\u2019s tough. Yeah, I mean, alternate shot\u2019s hard enough, but when you\u2019re playing against a group of girls that are playing really, really well, it\u2019s even harder.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just tried to be, like, okay, we still have nine more holes. <\/p>\n

\u201cLike, let\u2019s get it on the back and just tried to stay positive and just focus on ourselves, not really what was going on on the outside.\u201c<\/p>\n

Allisen Corpuz echoes Nelly Korda\u2019s sentiment<\/p>\n

Corpuz spoke to reporters after losing the Saturday morning foursomes match alongside her teammate Nelly Korda.<\/p>\n

\u201cExactly what Nelly said,\u201c Corpuz admitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt like we played pretty much the same as yesterday. <\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe one or two shots, I think, that we both wish we could get back. But overall, really solid. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe got a few putts to drop towards the end. But, yeah, they just played really well.\u201c<\/p>\n

Interestingly, both Korda and Corpuz were rested for the Saturday afternoon four-ball matches, and it remains to be seen whether that was a big mistake from Team USA captain Angela Stanford.<\/p>\n
