Alexander Zverev<\/a> faced jeers from the partisan US Open<\/a> crowd due to the slow pace of his service play as he faced home favourite Ben Shelton<\/a> in the men\u2019s singles final.<\/p>\n Chair umpire Marijana Veljovic had to remind the crowd to not make noise between the first and second serves after there were groans when Zverev aborted a ball toss on 3-3, 40-40 in the second set.<\/p>\n Zverev was finally given a time violation warning at 2-1, 30-30 as he lead the fourth set, with the 29-year-old complaining to umpire Veljovic that he could not start his service motion because the crowd were making too much noise.<\/p>\n
