Sept 14 (Reuters) – AI \u2060lab Anthropic on Monday launched a set \u2060of tools for financial advisers, connecting its \u200cClaudechatbot to investment analytics and wealth-management software from firms including BlackRock, Charles Schwab and Addepar.<\/p>\n
The product, called Claude \u200bfor Financial Advisors, is designed \u2060to help financial services \u2060firms prepare for client meetings, review portfolios and \u2060handle \u200cfollow-up work.<\/p>\n
The launch comes days after rival OpenAI introduced a version of \u2060ChatGPT for the industry, targeting investment bankers \u200band equity \u200cresearchers with tools for financial research, modeling \u2060and client \u200bmaterials.<\/p>\n
It also builds on Anthropic’s broader push into financial services, where it has developed tools based \u2060on its AI model Claude for \u200btasks including investment research, portfolio analysis, financial modeling and preparing client materials.<\/p>\n
Anthropic’s new offering connects Claude \u2060with data and software from firms including Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, Wealthbox, Wealth.com and Zocks.<\/p>\n
The announcement comes as the pace and cost of AI \u200bdevelopment facesgrowing scrutiny, with \u2060industry leaders increasingly questioning whether spending can be \u200bsustained and how quickly the \u200ctechnology should advance amid mounting \u200bfears of misuse.<\/p>\n
