{"id":771420,"date":"2026-09-15T12:28:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T12:28:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/771420\/"},"modified":"2026-09-15T12:28:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T12:28:14","slug":"super-league-launches-2027-trading-cards-after-securing-major-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/771420\/","title":{"rendered":"Super League launches 2027 trading cards after securing major partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"2400\" height=\"1600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/OH9_0805.jpg\" class=\"attachment- size- wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Super League fans will have a new way to engage with the sport in 2027 as the competition has confirmed that they will launch physical collectible trading cards, in partnership with company Select Cards.<\/p>\n<p>Card collecting is big business now with franchises such as Pokemon long since established but sports card collecting is a growing trend and Super League will be in on the action for 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Confirmed at Monday\u2019s Dream Team event, 2027 will mark the first year that the new collectibles will be available with Select Cards the company that will produce them.<\/p>\n<p>It brings Super League in line with the NRL, with cards for the Australian competition launching in recent years. It\u2019s also been confirmed that Select Cards will launch a range for this year\u2019s Rugby League World Cup, meaning fans can see exactly what sort of quality to expect come 2027 when the Super League range launches.<\/p>\n<p>Super League trading cards range confirmed<\/p>\n<p>A statement from RL Commercial confirmed the partnership, with the Commercial Director of RL Commercial, Bobby Bahadori, also revealing that stickers will eventually follow.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cSelect Cards, together with Super League, is currently preparing the trading card release, which will closely follow other formats produced around the world: including boxes and packs of collectors cards, and sticker range.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe announcement follows the hugely successful 2026 launch of Select Cards\u2019 NRL League Heroes collection, a range that captured the attention of rugby league fans and collectors worldwide through premium card designs, coveted autograph cards and strictly limited releases featuring some of the game\u2019s biggest stars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>    Most Read on Serious About Rugby League<\/p>\n<p>The founder of Select Cards, Grant Copley, said: \u201cThis partnership makes perfect sense.
