I bet it\u2019s not a crunch.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve worked in the fitness industry for three and a half years and have interviewed plenty of trainers. No one has ever told me that they like crunches.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-seasonal\" data-url=\"\" href=\"\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"547fbff6-3229-4240-9a71-b0f224d80aae-2\">\u201cI never do crunches, ever, and I don\u2019t like planks,\u201d trainer and Oner Active athlete Hayley Madigan told me.<\/p>\n<p>You may like<\/p>\n<p>Instead, she prefers to do moves like overhead marches and dumbbell pass-arounds. Or you can do <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=N4mMVG8S5Kg\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=N4mMVG8S5Kg\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">around the worlds<\/a> with a kettlebell, which create more force for your core to resist.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-suitcase-carry\" data-url=\"\" href=\"\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/>Suitcase carry<\/p>\n<p id=\"c13664b0-fdb3-4655-9a35-137929fb8d64\">Sets: 1-2 each side Time: 30sec<\/p>\n<p>Stand with your feet hip-width apart and pick up a heavy weight with your right hand.Walk for time, keeping your torso upright.<\/p>\n<p id=\"f9f1c129-4316-408d-afc9-7aa516836636\">Trainer tip: Make sure you pick a weight that\u2019s heavy enough, so you have to use your core muscles to resist the lopsided pull.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI try and go as heavy as I possibly can,\u201d says Madigan.<\/p>\n<p>She suggests tucking your rib cage (bringing it down and in) to switch on your core when doing the exercise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"What\u2019s your favorite core move?
