{"id":772585,"date":"2026-09-16T14:28:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T14:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/772585\/"},"modified":"2026-09-16T14:28:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T14:28:10","slug":"tech-stocks-today-openai-raising-funds-at-1-2-trillion-valuation-sk-hynix-and-intel-moves","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/772585\/","title":{"rendered":"Tech stocks today: OpenAI raising funds at $1.2 trillion valuation, SK Hynix and Intel moves"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Anthropic (<a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/ANTH.PVT\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ANTH.PVT<\/a>) CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/technology\/article\/stark-warnings-from-anthropic-and-openai-ceos-are-set-to-disrupt-the-ai-stock-trade-they-built-up-132747413.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dario Amodei rocked the AI world<\/a> over the weekend after he posted a lengthy essay calling on the industry to slow the pace of development of the most advanced AI models.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Rival OpenAI (<a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/ANTH.PVT\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">OPAI.PVT<\/a>) CEO Sam Altman followed up on Amodei&#8217;s piece, which he published Saturday morning, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sama\/status\/2098811563415150910?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">via a post on X<\/a> saying that he agrees with Anthropic&#8217;s chief executive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The announcements come after two AI researchers posted about the dangers of advanced frontier AI models.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">On Tuesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/technology\/article\/disgruntled-ai-researcher-this-technology-could-kill-us-all-by-the-end-of-the-decade-165859921.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jacob Coxon announced that he resigned from Anthropic<\/a>, saying that neither the company nor OpenAI is acting responsibly when it comes to developing powerful AI systems. In a post on X, Coxon stated that the companies are racing to create &#8220;self-improving superintelligence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">&#8220;The people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade. This is not a marketing stunt,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;If anything, many executives and senior researchers will couch their phrasing in the press to sound sensible \u2014 but I hear the same people express fear privately.
