{"id":773417,"date":"2026-09-17T08:12:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T08:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/773417\/"},"modified":"2026-09-17T08:12:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T08:12:11","slug":"northampton-britains-got-talent-group-launches-new-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/773417\/","title":{"rendered":"Northampton Britain&#8217;s Got Talent group launches new service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A new service for adults with additional needs is boosting their confidence, users have said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Inclusive performing arts group, Born to Perform, who reached the semi-finals of Britain&#8217;s Got Talent in April 2022, runs the sessions at Buckton Fields Community Centre in Northampton, which offers support through performing arts, crafts, gardening and practical skills.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The group came to wider attention after appearing on ITV&#8217;s show, where judge David Walliams <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/av\/uk-england-northamptonshire-61279245\" class=\"ssrcss-1e0jzsh-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">used his golden buzzer<\/a> for its performance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Sarah Wakelin, whose son Kayln attends the group, said: &#8220;He&#8217;s a lot more confident, he&#8217;s made more friends, is more outgoing, and has met loads more new people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Ellie Thomas attended the new centre for the first time at the open day on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;My favourite thing so far is performing arts, and this is only my first day looking around, so it&#8217;s pretty cool,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I want to become more confident in the life skills department.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A new service for adults with additional needs is boosting their confidence, users have said.
