\n Heidi Maguire, 55, has spent months preparing Reformer Junkie Pilates for its October 5 opening at Progress House in Progress Road, Leigh.\n<\/p>\n
\n The studio will offer expert-led reformer Pilates classes for six people at a time in a luxury setting.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mrs Maguire moved to the area from Surrey with her husband about five years ago and said excitement is building before the launch.\n<\/p>\n
\n She said: \u201cWe are quite fired up and excited at the moment. We are going live for bookings next week and the first day of classes starts on October 5.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWellness is so popular and because I\u2019m so passionate about it, it seemed like a no brainer to go for it and open it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n She previously ran a virtual assistant business after working as an executive assistant for companies including Goldman Sachs.\n<\/p>\n
\n She added: \u201cI worked in the city for years as an executive assistant at companies like Goldman Sachs and then I had a family which led to me working from home for various different clients.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI had my own virtual assistant business before, but I am winding down and this is a venture where we are looking to open two or three more studios in the future.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Mrs Maguire said her love of reformer Pilates inspired her move into the fitness industry.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI have always loved doing reformer Pilates because it\u2019s good for when you\u2019re getting older and it\u2019s important for your body to strengthen your joints and rid yourself of a lot of problems,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s very good for gaining strength. Everyone who does this exercise wants to do it again as soon as possible. People see quick results. After a few months your shape starts changing. It makes you feel strong and upbeat.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n The new studio focuses on comfort and luxury rather than the feel of a traditional gym.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mrs Maguire said she wanted the studio to feel \u201cmore like a boutique hotel\u201d, with brushed copper finishes, warm lighting, limewash walls and calming colours.\n<\/p>\n
\n She added: \u201cWe wanted to find an area where there wasn\u2019t another studio with this in the area as it\u2019s becoming very popular.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s the type of exercise that you really like doing. It is not like something which you can\u2019t be bothered to do, like going to the gym.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
