The weather brought an early end at Chester-le-Street as Worcestershire were denied the chance to become the first team this season to beat County Championship Division Two leaders Durham.<\/p>\n

The Pears were on 32-1, chasing 253 to win beat Durham, when play was finally abandoned at 15:40 BST.<\/p>\n

But it did end Durham’s six-game winning streak as Worcestershire become the first side since May to avoid losing to the Division Two champions.<\/p>\n

After the match, Durham’s players were presented with the Division Two trophy for the second time in three seasons.<\/p>\n
