\n Craighelen Tennis Club hosted its club championships awards night earlier this month, with around 30 members attending at its East Clyde Street home.\n<\/p>\n

\n The evening kicked off with a three-course meal, allowing members to unwind and enjoy each other’s company.\n<\/p>\n
\n After the meal, the annual awards presentation recognised the achievements of the club’s players.\n<\/p>\n
\n The winners of the club championships were:\n<\/p>\n
Men’s singles – Andy Maclachlan<\/p>\n
Ladies’ doubles – Susan Bell and Jackie Morris<\/p>\n
Men’s doubles – Stephen McKeown and Andy Maclachlan<\/p>\n
Mixed doubles – Kieran Martin and Ashley Bolton.<\/p>\n
\n Two special awards were also presented during the evening.\n<\/p>\n

\n Amanda Byles was named Player of the Year for her “fantastic contribution to the club both on and off the court”.\n<\/p>\n
\n A club spokesperson said: “Her commitment, enthusiasm and involvement have made a valuable contribution to the club throughout the year.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Meanwhile, Ryan Messenger was awarded Most Improved Player for his progress and development on the court throughout the year.\n<\/p>\n
\n The trophies were presented by Jackie Morris and Bob Knox, with the awards ceremony hosted by Ashley Bolton and Lisa White.\n<\/p>\n

\n Live entertainment from Al Mitchell rounded off the evening.\n<\/p>\n
\n The club spokesperson added: “The awards night was a fantastic opportunity for members to come together and celebrate not only the sporting achievements of the past year, but also the friendships, fun and community spirit that make Craighelen Tennis Club such a special club.\n<\/p>\n
