\n The idea began during a family holiday when the couple first discovered the art form and were captivated by the \u201cswirls, bursts and flecks\u201d that make each eye as distinct as a fingerprint.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It’s a new way to display emotion which captured our attention from the moment we saw the images,” said Ashley.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We knew we wanted to be a part of this portrait revolution and so invested in the camera equipment and learned the technology behind the art.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The pair – who live in Ipswich – invested in a specialised camera and lens system designed to capture the iris in high detail, with precise lighting and colour calibration to reveal the natural hues and textures hidden within each eye.\n<\/p>\n
\n Each photograph is edited to enhance these colours, resulting in what Ashley describes as \u201ca kaleidoscopic masterpiece.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\n “Each image can be finished with a unique artistic flair \u2013 sometimes subtle, sometimes bold \u2013 depending on the subject\u2019s personality or the wishes of those commissioning the keepsake.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The finished prints are typically produced on acrylic.\n<\/p>\n
\n The former Claydon High School pupils have six children and three grandchildren.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ashley previously worked as a mechanic, starting as an apprentice in his father\u2019s business before becoming a senior technician with major truck dealerships in the region.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It has always been my dream to move into photography, and this feels very right to take the first step with an outlet at Stonham Barns Park Retail Village,” he said.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It is a hub for creatives of all kinds, and we are looking forward to joining the artisan retailers who are based there in the relaxed and rural setting.\n<\/p>\n
