\n The Carlisle Villa boxing club star overcame Argentinian opponent Ezequiel Gregores at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.\n<\/p>\n
\n Haughan, 22, got the better of his rival in the middleweight contest on the latest VIP Boxing card.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Cumbrian won the judges’ decision by a dominant margin of 40-34.\n<\/p>\n
\n Haughan was on top throughout against Gregores, who went on to have two points deducted for persistent holding.\n<\/p>\n
\n The boxer was backed by some vocal support from his Carlisle-based supporters in Blackpool as he maintained his unbeaten start to his pro career.\n<\/p>\n
\n Haughan later thanked his supporters and coaching team for their backing in a social media post.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Firstly wow what a night being the co main event and having an unbelievable supporting army cheering and making it a very special night,” he said.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Having nights like this is what I\u2019ve dreamed of so I wanna say a massive thank you to everyone!\n<\/p>\n
\n “Secondly thank you to my team for another top camp, you’re all a massive help in the journey, your hard work doesn\u2019t go unnoticed.\n<\/p>\n
