\n Raiders’ campaign came to an end on Sunday following a 56-12 defeat away at Doncaster in Week 3 of the Betfred Championship play-offs.\n<\/p>\n
\n An injury-hit squad was further weakened by an illness bug that led to the bruising result but the club still remains optimistic about the future.\n<\/p>\n
\n In a statement, they said: “Barrow Raiders directors, players and staff would like to thank all the fans and sponsors for their support throughout the 2026 campaign.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We managed a league attendance average of just over 2,000 which will be the envy of many clubs in our division, and your unwavering support is appreciated.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It looks like there will be changes afoot for the 2027 season for the Championship structure but whatever competition we are faced with it is re-assuring that we have the backing of the town and its people.”\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\n Speaking to the Raiders social channels after the game, Head Coach Crarey revealed that ‘nobody has spoken’ to him about whether they hope to continue his stint at the club.\n<\/p>\n
\n He commented: “I don’t know what’s going on, I’m going to try to get a holiday as soon as I can now and get away – the way I feel now, I just want to go to bed for about a week-and-a-half.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I’ve got to have a think with my family, there’s a lot going on in my life at the moment off the field and stuff like that, it’s been the toughest year as well on it.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Winning 17 out of 24 games this season was branded as an achievement to be proud of, with Crarey saying that Raiders had grown into a ‘force in this division’ and that they had ‘done great as a group’.\n<\/p>\n
\n It is still yet to be determined, however, whether he will be on the touchline by the time the next campaign kicks off.\n<\/p>\n
\n “There’s only so much you can do as a coach and probably people might be a little bit sick of me by now, being here for so long, so we’ll just have a little think and see what the club want to do and see where we are in the next few weeks,” he said.\n<\/p>\n
\n “But I’m not going to think about anything for the next fortnight.
