It was only six years ago that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan<\/a> stepped down from their senior positions as royals and moved their family<\/a> across the world to Montecito, California. Now, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are back in the U.K.<\/a> for an extended period of time, and from the look of things, it seems they are enjoying their new era.<\/p>\n In the month since they\u2019ve been back, Harry has already made his first big public appearance<\/a>, getting all dressed up for the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards, which were held at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London. (And he\u2019s stepped out several times since.) Meghan, meanwhile, has kept a more low profile. She was seen mingling<\/a> with Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, at a pub in Oxfordshire just this past Monday, but otherwise, the only glimpses we\u2019d gotten of her time in England had come courtesy of a compilation video that she shared to Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n That is, until Meghan\u2019s close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen, shared a slideshow of photos this afternoon on Instagram, which captured the duchess living her best British life. The caption even noted that Meghan has \u201cmissed\u201d life in the U.K. (Check out all the photos here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s something so special about getting a taste of this magical place with my bestie, and having my sweet Jack along for the adventure,\u201d Zajfen wrote. (Jack is the philanthropist\u2019s third child, whom she welcomed earlier this year.)<\/p>\n Zajfen is based in Los Angeles, but flew over to England to visit Meghan and Harry in their temporary new home. She summarized the experience by writing: \u201c\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udde7 you\u2019ve been so good to us. We\u2019re leaving with full hearts and definitely leaving a piece of ours here. \ud83e\udd0d\u201d<\/p>\n Plus, she added that locals have been very sweet to Meghan upon her return, writing: \u201cTo everyone we\u2019ve met or bumped into, thank you for being so loving to my friend \ud83e\udd79 It\u2019s been beautiful to witness. She missed you too!\u201d<\/p>\n Meghan and Zajfen have been friends for over 20 years, and they first met through the former\u2019s ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, who is a friend of Zajfen\u2019s spouse, Julian.<\/p>\n Zajfen co-founded the Alliance of Moms<\/a>, a non-profit organization that aids pregnant women and young mothers in the foster care system. Over the years, Meghan has been an active supporter of the organization, and Zajfen has been a supporter of the duchess\u2019s projects as well, having even made an appearance in With Love, Meghan<\/a> in 2025.<\/p>\n
