GCAC Tournament<\/p>\n
Sophomore Lauren Gauss fired a 3-under-par 69 for an 11-shot win, leading Benet<\/a> to the championship of the GCAC Tournament at Green Garden Country Club.<\/p>\n Benet shot a 314 as a team, well ahead of runner-up Nazareth<\/a>\u2019s 353. Benet had the top-six finishers, with Madelyn Maldonado (80), Kate Lewis (82), Bonnie Reeb (83), Elena Horejs (84) and Emma Simkus (84) following Gauss. Nazareth\u2019s Gabriella Giangrande (86) tied for seventh.<\/p>\n Girls Volleyball<\/p>\n Glenbard South<\/a> d. Hinsdale South<\/a> 25-21, 25-13<\/p>\n Rebecca Johnston had 10 kills, Eva Bogdanov 12 assists and eight digs, Alyna Krabec seven assists and Emma Full 11 digs for the Raiders (15-7).<\/p>\n Oak Park-River Forest<\/a> d. Montini<\/a> 25-20, 25-11<\/p>\n Micaela Haggerty had five kills, two aces and 12 digs for Montini (16-6).<\/p>\n Glenbard West<\/a> d. Benet 25-13, 25-17<\/p>\n The Hilltoppers (21-2) beat the Redwings (15-4) in a nonconference match in Glen Ellyn<\/a>.<\/p>\n Mother McAuley d. Downers Grove North<\/a> 25-20, 25-19<\/p>\n The Trojans (12-5) dropped the nonconference road match.<\/p>\n Nazareth d. Aurora Central Catholic<\/a> 25-19, 25-8<\/p>\n The Roadrunners improved to 12-12 with the win.<\/p>\n Wheaton Academy d.
