Marvel<\/a> fans, assemble! Avengers: Endgame is now back on the big screens, seven years after its original release.<\/p>\n

This time, it\u2019s equipped with a brand-new post-credits sequence that will serve as a teaser for what\u2019s to come in Avengers: Doomsday, out on 18 December.<\/p>\n

Doomsday will see the Avengers join forces with the Wakandans<\/a>, the New Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the original X-Men<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As a result, the upcoming film boasts a star-studded cast, led by Chris Evans (Captain America) and Robert Downey Jr (Doctor Doom).<\/p>\n

Some of the cast even hold their own GWR titles, such as American actress Zoe Salda\u00f1a<\/a> (Gamora) who is the highest-grossing actress at global box office (leading roles). As of 26 January, the 18 movies in which she had played a lead role had taken $15,615,919,486 (\u00a311.42 billion) worldwide, according to The Numbers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

As soon as Avengers: Endgame\u00a0hit the cinemas in April 2019, it also entered the record books for having the longest running time for a theatrical cut of a superhero<\/a> movie.<\/p>\n

The Russo-brothers-directed blockbuster has a duration of 3 hr 1 min \u2013 or 181 min!<\/p>\n

Given that Avengers: Endgame Encore is a special cut of the 2019 film, it has not seized this title. Although, it does have a longer running time of 3 hr 5 min.<\/p>\n

Endgame set its second world record by logging the highest box-office gross in a single day on 26 April 2019.<\/p>\n

It made $157,461,641 (\u00a3122 million) from first-day viewings in the US<\/a> alone!<\/p>\n

Comprising\u00a0sales from 4,662 cinemas<\/a>, this one-day gross hurtled past the previous mark of $119,119,282 (\u00a379 million), achieved by Star Wars<\/a>: The Force Awakens in 2015.<\/p>\n

Avengers: Endgame then scored a hattrick with the fastest time for a movie to gross $1 billion.<\/p>\n

The superhero smash-hit surpassed the 10-figure mark in just five days, which is more than twice as fast as it took for\u00a0Avengers: Infinity War (11 days).<\/p>\n

Following close behind is this year\u2019s Spider Man<\/a>: Brand New Day, with a total of six days.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The anticipation surrounding Endgame was monumental and it is still reflected in\u00a0our box office records today.<\/p>\n

As of 28 April 2019, the fourth film in the Avengers franchise had achieved\u00a0the highest-grossing opening weekend at the global box office, after taking\u00a0$1,195,000,000 (\u00a3924 million).<\/p>\n

With approximately 45% of this figure being made from 3D viewings, Endgame also clinched the highest-grossing opening weekend for a 3D movie at the global box office: $540,000,000 (\u00a3417 million).<\/p>\n

By October 2021, Endgame was still proving to be a hit, becoming the highest-grossing Disney<\/a> film and movie sequel overall with an improved gross of $2,797,800,564 (\u00a32 billion).<\/p>\n

The question now is: will Doomsday take these titles? Or are they already endgame?<\/p>\n
