Hayden Panettiere\u2019s death investigation remains active and ongoing despite the determination of the actress\u2019 cause and manner of death<\/a>, Page Six can confirm.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe actual investigation is still open,\u201d the Greenville Police Department PIO told us Friday.<\/p>\n

The clarification comes after we obtained a redacted CAD report detailing the timeline of the 911 call<\/a> placed after Panettiere, 36, was found unresponsive<\/a> at an Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina, on the afternoon of Aug. 16.<\/p>\n

Though the document reads, \u201cincident status: closed,\u201d the PIO explained that simply means the actual incident (the call) was closed and doesn\u2019t show up on GPD\u2019s screens anymore.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, the Greenville County Coroner\u2019s Office announced that Panettiere\u2019s death\u00a0was an \u201caccident\u201d caused by \u201cthe toxic effects\u201d of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol and quetiapine.<\/p>\n

Naloxone and cotinine were also detected in her system<\/a>, according to the results of the toxicology.<\/p>\n

It was previously known that Panettiere and her on-off boyfriend, Brian Hickerson,\u00a0had flown to Greenville from Los Angeles<\/a>\u00a0the day before she died. He told responding officers he went to sleep in the bedroom and that the \u201cHeroes\u201d star fell asleep in the living room.<\/p>\n

Hickerson said he woke up around 10 or 10:30 a.m. on Sunday and saw Panettiere applying her makeup in the bathroom.<\/p>\n

They \u201cate cereal together\u201d before Hickerson, 37, allegedly \u201cfell back asleep\u201d in the bedroom. He said he woke back up later that afternoon after hearing his brother Zach Hickerson knock on the front door. The trio had plans to go out to lunch.<\/p>\n

One of the two Hickerson boys (the name was redacted in the coroner\u2019s report) said he then went to go wake up Panettiere, who was \u201csitting crisscross applesauce, face down and unresponsive on the sofa bed.\u201d She was also \u201cpurple in color.\u201d<\/p>\n

He stated that \u201cit is not uncommon for the decedent to fall asleep in that position\u201d and claimed he twice administered nasal Narcan \u2014 an emergency medication used to reverse opioid overdoses \u2014 \u201cwithout success.\u201d<\/p>\n

The siblings called 911 just after 1:50 p.m. to report that the \u201cNashville\u201d star was \u201cnot conscious,\u201d \u201cnot breathing\u201d and in possible \u201ccardiac or respiratory arrest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brian and Zach then started CPR and continued until emergency medical services arrived.<\/p>\n

Responding paramedics tried to resuscitate Panettiere for approximately 30 minutes using \u201cadvanced cardiac life support,\u201d but she was not able to regain cardiac activity and was pronounced dead just after 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The former child star \u2014 who openly struggled with addiction<\/a>, especially after suffering postpartum depression<\/a> following the December 2014 birth of her daughter \u2014 was honored with a memorial in Malibu, California<\/a>, last weekend.<\/p>\n
