\n The event, organised by Salisbury Hospice Charity, raised more than \u00a325,000 on Saturday, September 19, to support hospice care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.\n<\/p>\n
\n Walkers gathered at Five Rivers Leisure Centre before setting off on either a six or 10-mile route through the city, many taking part in memory of loved ones or in gratitude for the hospice\u2019s palliative and bereavement services.\n<\/p>\n
\n Natalie Pester, events and engagement executive at Salisbury Hospice Charity, said: “Seeing so many people come together for this year\u2019s Midnight Walk has been truly fantastic.\n<\/p>\n
\n “There was such a wonderful atmosphere throughout the evening, and it was lovely to see people connecting, sharing stories and walking in support of the Hospice.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Events like this really show the strength of our community, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, volunteered and supported the Midnight Walk.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Participants donned glittery wings, illuminated flower crowns, and even a flamingo costume as they walked in solidarity and celebration.\n<\/p>\n
\n The evening began with an address from Nikki Spicer, chair of trustees at Salisbury Hospice Charity, followed by a high-energy warm-up led by Clubbercise instructor Penny Peers.\n<\/p>\n
\n DJ Kev from Radio Odstock provided music to keep spirits high as walkers set off under a glowing LED arch.\n<\/p>\n
\n This year\u2019s event introduced a number of new features, including Memory Stations, a Silent Disco, selfie stations, and a \u201cHug in a Mug\u201d hot chocolate at the hospice.\n<\/p>\n
\n Reflective moments were woven throughout the night.\n<\/p>\n
\n Walkers were invited to remember loved ones by sharing photos and messages at the Memory Cinema and Memory Wall.\n<\/p>\n
\n At Salisbury Cathedral, they paused to light candles on the west doorsteps in memory of friends and family.\n<\/p>\n

\n A spokesperson for Salisbury Hospice Charity extended thanks to the volunteers who made the night possible, helping with registration, marshalling, and photography.\n<\/p>\n
