A major incident is underway near Five Ways train station tonight with emergency services called to the scene(Image: Google Maps)<\/p>\n
Emergency services are dealing with a ‘major problem’ near Five Ways resulting in cancellations on trains from Birmingham<\/a> New Street tonight.<\/p>\n Trains between Birmingham New Street and Bromsgrove<\/a>, Redditch<\/a> and Hereford are all subject to cancellation after the unknown incident was reported just after 9pm.<\/p>\n National Rail said ‘major problems’ had been reported on the route, and disruption is expected at least up til the end of the day.<\/p>\n Read more Cyclist dies on Midlands road after collision with car as girl, 17, arrested<\/a><\/p>\n Passengers have been told to find replacement National Express transport and coaches have been ordered.<\/p>\n National Rail’s website said: “The emergency services are dealing with an incident between University and Birmingham New Street.<\/a><\/p>\n “Whilst they complete their work all lines between these stations are closed.<\/p>\n “Trains will be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 60 minutes.
