With \u201cAvengers: Endgame \u2013 Encore\u201d in cinemas again this weekend, and currently charting for a $26 million three-day haul, the film\u2019s directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been answering questions from both press and fans.<\/p>\n

Many have been about how the re-release\u2019s new material ties into the upcoming \u201cAvengers: Doomsday\u201d along with anything they could tease about the new film.<\/p>\n

While they don\u2019t give much away, Joe Russo tells CBR<\/a> that one thing they are doing is bringing back the serious warrior Thor:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fascinating how malleable he is playing that role, and the range that he has. He has a wide array of directors with different tastes and different tones that have interpreted the character. We have a specific point of view on that character. That\u2019s what we\u2019re going to carry forward, the Infinity War Thor.<\/p>\n

We love that sort of warrior version of him, that warrior who has lost everything, who is seeking meaning through battle. Will he ever find it or not? That is the journey he will go on against the greatest foe he\u2019s ever met. As you can see from the trailers, it\u2019s going to be a hell of a fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

The news has already been met with a positive reception after \u201cThor: Love and Thunder\u201d pushed the character too far towards the comedic, resulting in decidedly mixed reviews.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s early teaser for \u201cAvengers: Doomsday\u201d teased the tonal change and showed Thor raising his adopted daughter Love and praying to his late father Odin.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Anthony Russo, participating in a Q&A, revealed to Games Radar<\/a> that despite all the reports, there are some names in the film that have yet to be announced:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cast is so large, and we\u2019ve announced some of the cast, and we haven\u2019t announced some of the cast. Joe and I are still very deep in the process of finishing Doomsday. We always say we\u2019re not done with a movie until they pry it out of our cold, dead hands.\u201d<\/p>\n
