Or perhaps you already operate a small food business and are looking for ways to improve your operations, reach more customers, or explore new markets.<\/p>\n<p>A food business workshop coming to Hays on Tue., October 6 will provide an opportunity for aspiring and existing food entrepreneurs to gain knowledge, explore possibilities and connect with others interested in growing Kansas&#8217; local food economy.<\/p>\n<p>The Hays Food Business Workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the K-State Extension Cottonwood District Office, 601 Main in Hays.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop is designed to help participants better understand the opportunities and challenges involved in starting or strengthening a food-based business. Whether someone is considering launching a food product, expanding an existing operation or exploring what it takes to turn a food-related idea into a viable business, the workshop offers an opportunity to learn and ask questions.<\/p>\n<p>Food businesses play an important role in strengthening local food systems and keeping more economic activity within our communities.
