Jaron Ennis<\/a> remains hopeful that he can tempt Terence Crawford<\/a> out of retirement and into a mega-fight, and one former sparring partner of both men has shared his thoughts on potential bout.<\/p>\n

Ennis, who holds the WBA and WBO titles, is in hot pursuit of the undisputed super-welterweight crown, seeking to secure a three-belt unification clash with IBF titleholder Josh Kelly<\/a> before the end of the year and then move onto a showdown with Sebastian Fundora.<\/p>\n

Should \u2018Boots\u2019 capture all four world titles, he could offer Crawford the chance to become boxing\u2019s first four-division undisputed champion<\/a> \u2013 an achievement which would undeniably position him amongst the greatest fighters of all time.<\/p>\n

Speaking to FightHype<\/a>, middleweight contender Kyrone Davis, who has previously sparred both men, declared that a victory for \u2018Bud\u2019 would see him solidified as a top three pound-for-pound legend.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a great fight, what would happen? We don\u2019t know. Terence Crawford is kind of teasing us with a return. No matter what I say, these fans are [acting] like it\u2019s civil war, if I say one good thing about \u2018Boots\u2019 then Terence Crawford fans hate me. If I say something good about Terence Crawford, Boots fans hate me!<\/p>\n

\u201cI like both guys, honestly, they are both good people. I have been in camp with Crawford and I have known Boots coming up. I have shared the ring with both of them and they are both terrific fighters, they are both very talented. Terence Crawford is savvy, he is everything that everybody says he is. Boots is everything that they say he is.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it happens, it would be a great fight. I don\u2019t know if it is going to happen, but it would be a treat if it does, for all boxing fans. For me, as a boxing fan myself, I would love to see them throw down and see if the younger guy can defeat the older champion or if the older champion has a few more tricks and solidifies himself as maybe [a] top three [fighter of] all time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although, Davis went on to admit that he believes Ennis could pull it off, concerned that an extended lay-off could impact Crawford more than many expect it to.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have seen a few fighters look old in one night, it happens, especially when you have been in such tough fights and you have put yourself through so many tough training camps. It\u2019s really the training camps, you take so many punches in a training camp, you take so much wear and tear on the body. Sometimes it shows up in one night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully, if they fight, we don\u2019t see that. I want to see a competitive and the best Terence Crawford but that could happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they come back and fight, I think that it will be one of the better fights that we get. I don\u2019t see that fight being one of the boring ones where we get it and we are like \u2018oh, man, it\u2019s not what we wanted it to be!\u2019, if them two guys fight, it is going to be everything we want it to be.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a tough fight, it\u2019s a very difficult fight. I believe that he [Boots[ can win but its a very difficult fight.\u201d<\/p>\n
