\n The outing was organised by Shelburne Lodge in High Wycombe and took place on a wheelchair-accessible boat provided by the Rivertime Boat Trust.\n<\/p>\n
\n The journey began in Henley and travelled to Marlow, passing through the Henley Royal Regatta course and offering residents a peaceful day on the water.\n<\/p>\n
\n Madalina Lovin, general manager of Shelburne Lodge, said: “Our residents had a whale of a time on the riverside cruise.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Adventures that take place outside of the home are a regular event for the residents, and we always ask for ideas on where they would best like to go.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The day was a lot of fun, residents were able to enjoy a beautiful day on the river which was quite therapeutic, thankfully the weather held out.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The experience was made extra special with a limousine provided by Driver Amber from David Silvey.\n<\/p>\n
\n Residents also enjoyed a picnic lunch prepared by the care home\u2019s hospitality team, complete with cream cakes and champagne.\n<\/p>\n
\n Shelburne Lodge is part of Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK\u2019s largest care providers.\n<\/p>\n
