{"id":78480,"date":"2025-08-19T19:39:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-19T19:39:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/78480\/"},"modified":"2025-08-19T19:39:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T19:39:09","slug":"terence-crawford-names-fighter-who-schooled-canelo-alvarez-as-the-greatest-boxer-of-all-time-ahead-of-their-clash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/78480\/","title":{"rendered":"Terence Crawford names fighter who schooled Canelo Alvarez as the greatest boxer of all time ahead of their clash"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ahead of his huge clash against Canelo Alvarez, Terence Crawford has named who he thinks is the greatest boxer of all time.<\/p>\n<p>On September 13, <a href=\"https:\/\/bloodyelbow.com\/tag\/canelo-alvarez\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Canelo Alvarez<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bloodyelbow.com\/tag\/terence-crawford\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Terence Crawford<\/a> are set to clash for the undisputed super middleweight title on <a href=\"https:\/\/bloodyelbow.com\/tag\/tko-boxing\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TKO Boxing<\/a>\u2018s inaugural event.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of what is one of the biggest boxing fights in recent memory, anticipation is building and when the two faced off for the first time at the pre-fight press conference recently, <a href=\"https:\/\/bloodyelbow.com\/2025\/06\/22\/dana-white-steps-in-as-brawl-almost-breaks-out-at-canelo-alvarez-vs-terence-crawford-press-conference\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dana White had to step in to stop them clashing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Both Canelo and Crawford are widely regarded as two of the best active pound-for-pound boxers on the planet, and will both be looking to continue their already incredible legacies.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2220367029-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Terence Crawford (R) faces off against Canelo Alvarez during a press conference in Riyadh\" class=\"wp-image-214714\" \/>Photo by FAYEZ NURELDINE\/AFP via Getty ImagesCrawford names his greatest boxer of all time ahead of Canelo clash<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford still dons an undefeated record, which is something Canelo doesn\u2019t have, having suffered two losses in his career.<\/p>\n<p>Canelo\u2019s first loss came against <a href=\"https:\/\/bloodyelbow.com\/tag\/floyd-mayweather\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Floyd Mayweather<\/a>, who <a href=\"https:\/\/bloodyelbow.com\/2025\/08\/07\/floyd-mayweather-earned-a-boxing-record-purse-of-over-41-million-after-schooling-canelo-alvarez\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">utterly schooled the Mexican when they clashed in 2013<\/a> in a light middleweight title fight.<\/p>\n<p>And ahead of his fight against Canelo, Crawford has named \u2018Money\u2019 Mayweather as his greatest boxer of all time, telling Seconds Out: \u201cIn my opinion, the best boxer in history is Floyd Mayweather.
