The song arrives with an official music video and follows the singer-songwriter\u2019s summer release \u201cTrack Team,\u201d which helped introduce the forthcoming project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy First Time\u201d looks back on a high school friendship that turned painful after Rose fell in love with a close friend and felt she had been led on. Its lyrics focus on the confusion and hurt that followed the relationship, including the line, \u201cYou were my friend and you hurt me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The EP announcement follows \u201cTrack Team,\u201d which has surpassed one million total streams, according to a press release. Rose is currently supporting Mon Rov\u00eea on a U.S. tour through October 13, when the run is scheduled to conclude at Showbox Sodo in Seattle. Earlier this year, she marked the first anniversary of the song \u201cWe Hug Now\u201d with a live performance release. The tune has approached 250 million global streams and received Gold certification from the RIAA, while also reaching the Top 3 on Spotify\u2019s U.S. and Global Viral 50 charts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe Hug Now\u201d was part of Rose\u2019s 2025 breakthrough around the release of her I Know What I Want EP. She also reached the Top 20 of Billboard\u2019s Emerging Artists chart and the Top 10 of its Hot Alternative Songs chart, while her monthly Spotify audience passed five million listeners.
