{"id":785566,"date":"2026-09-28T19:04:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-28T19:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/785566\/"},"modified":"2026-09-28T19:04:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T19:04:11","slug":"major-upgrade-planned-for-naburn-water-treatment-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/785566\/","title":{"rendered":"Major upgrade planned for Naburn water treatment plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Plans for a major upgrade of a water treatment works near York have been submitted after a \u00a335m investment was announced for the site last month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Yorkshire Water confirmed the investment at its work near Naburn was part of a wider \u00a3350m programme to reduce the amount of phosphorus being returned to rivers in wastewater.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Phosphorus is present in shampoos and liquid detergents and is a normal part of domestic sewage.
