\n\tSeason four of Reacher<\/a> ended 12 days ago, and season five<\/a> is in production. A sixth season is also on the way.<\/p>\n

\n\tPrime Video<\/a> announced Monday that it has renewed Reacher for a sixth season. The pickup continues a string of early renewals for the series, which has consistently been one of the Amazon-owned streamer\u2019s biggest shows. The run of early renewals stretches back to season three, which Prime Video ordered two weeks before the second season debuted in December 2023.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith the renewal, Reacher will also become Prime Video\u2019s second longest-running scripted series behind Bosch (and tied with Invincible, which has also been picked up through a sixth season). <\/p>\n

\n\tBased on Lee Child\u2019s Jack Reacher novels and starring Alan Ritchson<\/a>, Reacher has had a big audience from day one for Prime Video. Amazon says 66 million people worldwide watched at least some of season four over its first 28 days of release (which encompass seven of the season\u2019s eight episodes). Seasons two, three and four of the series are also the three most watched seasons of a returning series (i.e., not a first season) in Prime Video\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeason five of Reacher is currently filming in Toronto. It\u2019s based on Make Me, the 20th book in Child\u2019s series. There\u2019s no word yet on the source material for season six \u2014\u00a0though if Ritchson had his way, it might be Die Trying, the second Jack Reacher novel. \u201cMy favorite book,\u201d he replied<\/a> to a question about it on Threads last week. \u201cFun fact: I had it approved until someone got re-elected.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tParamount TV Studios and Amazon MGM Studios produce Reacher. Santora, Child and Ritchson are executive producers along with Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, Lisa Kussner, Sam Hill, Amy Pocha and Seth Cohen.
