Wakefield Trinity star Caleb Hamlin-Uele has dropped a major hint that a familiar face could well be joining him in West Yorkshire – his brother.

Hamlin-Uele, who made this year’s Super League Dream Team and put on an incredible display in this weekend’s win over Wigan Warriors, took to social media today, suggesting that older brother Braden could be set for a move to England.

Braden Uele is a former New Zealand international and a 136-game NRL veteran. In 2022, he represented Samoa, playing in the opening-round defeat to England in the Rugby League World Cup.

The Cronulla Sharks man has only played four NRL games this season, and is without a contract for 2027. He was linked with Leeds Rhinos earlier in the season, but those talks have seemingly died down.

A number of Super League clubs still have quota spots available, but it now looks like Wakefield could be the favourites to land his signature.

Caleb Hamlin-Uele posted an AI-generated picture of both himself and brother Braden in Wakefield shirts, alongside the caption ‘Brothers in arms 2027’.

No official confirmation has been made by the club, but with Trinity boss Daryl Powell set to face the media tomorrow [Tuesday] ahead of the Grand Final, it is a topic that will undoubtedly be brought up.
