Having previously called for the Terence Crawford<\/a> fight himself, Teofimo Lopez<\/a> now believes that \u2018Bud\u2019 is only interested in facing a fellow unbeaten legend.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old called time on his Hall of Fame-worthy career last December, having become a three-division undisputed king by dethroning Canelo Alvarez at 168lbs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In order to do so, Crawford moved up two weight divisions and, despite contending with an obvious size disadvantage, he managed to score a convincing unanimous decision victory.<\/p>\n

Feeling as though he had nothing left to prove, and indeed having been handsomely rewarded for his efforts, the American then announced his retirement a few months later.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, though, he has been repeatedly linked to a comeback fight against Jaron \u2018Boots\u2019 Ennis, who became a two-division unified champion by dethroning Xander Zayas<\/a> in June.<\/p>\n

Whether their fight actually materialises, only time will tell, but Lopez and many others remain unconvinced that Crawford has any desire to face Ennis.<\/p>\n

Rather, the three-weight world champion has told Ring Champs<\/a> that, in his mind, the only way Crawford comes out of retirement is for a clash with Floyd Mayweather.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only way he will come back is for him and Floyd.\u201d<\/p>\n

As two unbeaten, former five-division world champions, there is certainly some value in debating who would have won a prime-for-prime battle between the pair.<\/p>\n

At this moment in time, however, Mayweather is 49 years old and, despite talk of a Manny Pacquiao<\/a> rematch, has not fought professionally since his 10th-round stoppage of Conor McGregor in 2017.<\/p>\n
