\n\tBritish chat show host Graham Norton<\/a> has said booking top guests is getting harder as studios and record labels \u201cfocus all their energy into other places and platforms,\u201d as he ponders how difficult it has become to launch talk shows. <\/p>\n

\n\tTaylor Swift\u2019s bestie Norton said it is \u201cvery hard to stay relevant and say we are still an important part of a promotional tour\u201d now that stars want to advertise projects via podcasts or on YouTube. <\/p>\n

\n\tHe was responding to a question at the RTS London<\/a> Convention on whether a new chat show could launch, but joked instead: \u201cI feel like we might end up being the last chat show on Planet Earth.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Norton said he \u201ctries to make sure the guests have a nice time,\u201d he said he is sometimes surprised at the things they refuse to do compared with what they will do online.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe ask them to show a picture from their year book and they say \u2018no\u2019 and we say \u2018alright\u2019 and then I\u2019ll be on YouTube and they are eating f***ing hot wings,\u201d he joked. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs he pondered the future of British chat shows, he said he has given up on his hope of having a \u201cjob share\u201d following the cancelation of The Claudia Winkleman Show<\/a> after one season. <\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tThe BBC<\/a> show hosted by The Traitors host was supposed to air when The Graham Norton Show<\/a> was off-air in the spring, meaning there would be no clashes between the two programmes produced by Norton\u2019s production company So Television<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, after one season, Winkleman candidly acknowledged she was \u201cjust too nervous to enjoy it\u201d and would be stepping back.<\/p>\n

\n\tNorton said plans had been in place for a long time to launch Winkleman\u2019s show alongside his and a replacement will likely never be found. <\/p>\n

\n\tHe said he thought his old friend Winkleman was \u201creally good at it\u201d but accepted her decision. <\/p>\n
