Arsenal<\/a> have been in the headlines recently, most notably being linked with an audacious move for Erling Haaland<\/a>.<\/p>\n Despite a solid start to the season, it has been suggested that the Gunners still need reinforcements – particularly in attack – if they\u2019re to retain their Premier League crown and go one step further in the Champions League.<\/p>\n As such attentions have already turned to the January transfer window.<\/p>\n The Gunners did recently confirm the signing of striker Vincent Joseph as part of a renewed focus on youth recruitment, but the likes of Eli Junior Kroupi, Kenan Yildiz, Rio Ngumoha and Maximilian Beier continue to be linked with moves to the Emirates Stadium.<\/p>\n Arsenal \u2018keep tabs on Costa\u2019<\/p>\n Arsenal are keeping tabs on Porto right-back Alberto Costa, who has emerged as one of the more highly rated young defenders in Europe.<\/p>\n According to CaughtOffside, the Premier League champions are monitoring the 22-year-old alongside Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, although no formal bids have been made.<\/p>\n Costa joined Porto from Juventus in 2025 and made 47 appearances with eight assists in his first season.<\/p>\n Alberto Costa has impressed for Porto since joining from Juventus<\/p>\n AFP\/Getty<\/p>\n Porto have Costa under contract until 2030, with a \u20ac65m (\u00a355.6m) release clause. The Portuguese club are therefore in a strong negotiating position should interest develop into a formal approach.<\/p>\n Man United could view Costa as competition at right-back, while Arsenal are attracted by his versatility and ability to contribute in possession. His strong start to the season has further increased attention around the defender.<\/p>\n Arsenal \u2018quoted \u00a338.5m for Jeltsch\u2019<\/p>\n Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in Stuttgart defender Finn Jeltsch.<\/p>\n Jeltsch, 20, is also said to be on the radar of Real Madrid, thus potentially sparking a bidding war in transfer windows to come.<\/p>\n Interestingly, Sport Witness have even reported that Stuttgart are now waiting for serious offers to land on their table – which they expect to happen soon.<\/p>\n Finn Jeltsch is reportedly on Arsenal\u2019s radar<\/p>\n AFP\/Getty<\/p>\n The report also states Stuttgart have set an asking price for Jeltsch and believe he is worth \u20ac45million (\u00a338.5m).<\/p>\n Haaland \u2018makes decision\u2019<\/p>\n Erling Haaland does not intend to remain at Manchester City if the club are relegated from the Premier League, with Arsenal among the sides linked with a move.<\/p>\n According to Football365, Arsenal have made contact with Haaland\u2019s camp as they assess their striker options for 2027. However, reports elsewhere have claimed the Gunners have not made an approach.<\/p>\n City are said to have been found guilty of 114 financial-rule breaches, with the club expected to appeal once their punishment is confirmed.
