Fontaines D.C.<\/a> have shared \u201cTongue,\u201d a second single from the Irish rock behemoth\u2019s new album Dopamine Chamber<\/a>. The band members filmed themselves on a visit to New York for the John Angus Stewart<\/a>-directed video, which you can watch below.<\/p>\n

Guitarist Conor Curley said in a press release that the song \u201ccontinued where Romance left off, leaving the live-band elements until they were really needed.\u201d In practice, that sounds like a tape-manipulated bassline from Conor Deegan and a Grian Chatten vocal line distorted in a sampler, thanks to handiwork from guitarist Carlos O\u2019Connell.<\/p>\n

The James Ford-produced Dopamine Chamber arrives October 16 via XL<\/a>, as the band gears up for a huge tour<\/a> that so far includes no U.S. dates. Rosal\u00eda was recently unveiled as the album\u2019s only guest, and the first on any Fontaines album. The band snagged her for a duet on \u201cWhere Is Gone?\u201d; by contrast, Bono recently got cold feet about asking the Catalan singer to guest on the new U2 album<\/a> and decided<\/a> to do an impression of her instead.<\/p>\n
