Tributes have been paid to a “well-loved” member of staff at a Sheffield branch of McDonald’s, following his death aged 41.<\/p>\n
Craig Baker, who had worked at McDonald’s in Meadowhall for more than 20 years, died on Sunday, his family confirmed.<\/p>\n
Tributes have flooded in on social media for the front-of-house team member, who was highly commended in the True Star category at Meadowhall’s annual awards last year.<\/p>\n
A Meadowhall spokesperson said: “Everyone at Meadowhall is sorry to hear of the loss of Craig, a well-loved member of the McDonald’s team. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family, friends and colleagues.”<\/p>\n
Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield last year, Craig said working at Meadowhall McDonald’s for 23 years had been “an amazing experience”.<\/p>\n
“I just talk to people, it’s a laugh and it’s just a fun place to work,” he said.<\/p>\n
“My philosophy is just ‘have fun at work’ and that’s what I do.”<\/p>\n
A Reddit thread paying tribute to Craig was titled “Rest in Power”, with hundreds of people also commenting on a Facebook post paying tribute to him.<\/p>\n
