\n Levi Strauss & Co<\/a>. has appointed John Vandemore as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective November 1, as the denim giant continues to build its direct-to-consumer business and targets $10 billion in revenue.<\/p>\n

Vandemore joins Levi Strauss from Skechers<\/a> U.S.A., where he has served as chief financial officer for the past nine years. During his tenure, he oversaw the footwear company\u2019s global finance organisation as well as operations functions.<\/p>\n

Before joining Skechers, he was executive vice president and CFO of global brands and commercial sales at Mattel<\/a>. He previously served as CFO and treasurer of International Game Technology and held a number of finance and operational positions at The Walt Disney<\/a> Company, including CFO of Walt Disney Imagineering.<\/p>\n

The appointment follows Levi Strauss\u2019 announcement in April that Harmit Singh, executive vice president and chief financial and growth officer, planned to retire following a transition period. Singh will remain in his current role until Vandemore joins the company and will then serve as a special advisor through November 30 to support the leadership transition.<\/p>\n

Levi Strauss saw sales for the second quarter rise 8% to $1.6 billion, with growth across all channels and regions. Its full-year revenue is expected to grow 7% to 7.5%. The San Francisco-based company\u2019s portfolio includes the Levi’s, Levi Strauss Signature and Beyond Yoga brands.\n <\/p>\n
